Ivylocker® for Seniors
What does being a senior adult mean?
There are some who believe senior adult status is achieved by age alone. And there are those who feel that is by all that they hold true and valuable in their lives. Their experiences in the people they have met, their friendships, their children and grandchildren, even great-grandchildren; property and assets they have accrued over their lives, and a wealth of knowledge which many call wisdom.
Judging by much of society and business practices, even the government indicates the status of senior may be those who are 62 and above. But according to the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) any person over the age of 50 is eligible for membership, thereby also could be considered as senior. However, by some folk’s standards, 50 years of age is the new 30.
Does being defined or labeled as senior mean your unable to handle your affairs? No it doesn’t. But it does mean that you have a clear and distinct responsibility to your family to get your affairs in proper order. How do you do that? By gathering important documents and determining who will be your next of kin. Your next of kin is the person you trust, the one person you feel confident in knowing they will make arrangements, contact those who need to contacted and do things the way you would prefer.
